Reasons behind Panic Attacks – Phobias

Phobias are usually noted to be causes of panic attacks How do phobias take shape? Phobias are often connected to a traumatic event in your past that has snowballed into a larger effect. When something reminds you of the incident in your past the fear is realized in your own head once more. The only way to be rid of the panic attacks of this kind is to rid the mind of the experience completely.

Examples of Memories That Create Phobias:

You’re sitting at a red light, behind a vehicle when you suddenly notice that the vehicle behind you isn’t stopping. In an instant your car is thrown form the road without even a second to think about it. You’re scared, angry and hurt. You begin to drive after your injuries have healed up. Despite this you feel like you are nervously waiting for it to happen again. Out of nowhere the fear seems to come at you regularly. The crash has resulted in a driving phobia.

Biological causes of Panic Attacks

There are more things that cause panic attacks then just phobias. There are also biological reasons tat cause panic attacks. For instance, a diet that doesn’t include plenty of Vitamin B or other healthy foods can cause a person to become inflicted with panic attacks. Besides a poor diet, other causes of panic attacks include medical ailments such as:

- Hyperthyroidism
- Hypoglycemia
- Inner ear problems

Other Reasons Behind Panic Attacks

Panic attacks do not have to relate to a poor diet or traumatic experience. There are many other causes for them. For example a person might suffer panic attacks due to their consumption of alcohol or if they are suffering drug withdrawal. Medication can also cause panic attacks. Hyperventilation syndrome can also cause Panic attacks. A sudden death in the family can cause panic attacks especially as you deal with the loss.

As has been said, many things can cause panic attacks. But there are five main reason behind panic attacks. They are:

- Hereditary reasons
- Lack of brazenness
- Lack of proper nutrition
- Pharmacological triggers
- Phobias

Should you begin to have panic attacks it is very important to seek out help immediately and find the root cause behind them.
