So, what is depression? An illness that affects the whole body and thoughts is called depression. The way you eat, sleep and the way you ponder things will be affected.
One cannot get a hold of himself or herself during depression, nor will it away with a strong will. But the good thing is that one can be treated to overcome any depressions, even though those depressions have been plaguing for many years.
Symptoms vary intensely from person to person, depending on the type of depression it is and what occasioned it as well as how long it has been allowed to progress. Tell your psychiatrist all the symptoms you have, and do not omit anything out of the ordinary for yourself, even though you may feel it is not important, but that will make you receive the correct diagnosis from your psychiatrist.
