The Anxiety Lie is great a new self help program for dealing with anxiety. It has been created by Rich Presta who is already well known for his other self help guides Panic Puzzle (for eliminating panic attacks) and Driving Fear (for eliminating driving phobias). The title is a rather curious one and I was intrigued to find out what the anxiety “lie” was all about. I can reveal that the “Lie” is actually the authors belief that so many other anxiety help products simply don’t give you the whole truth. Far too many of the programs available have been been written with the intention of making you feel better about yourself. In order to overcome anxiety you have to leave your comfort zone behind. The Anxiety Lie will encourage you to come out of your comfort zone right from the start and it will be quite firm with you in what you have to do. Some people won’t like the way it has been written, for other people it will be just what they needed to hear. It’s clear right from the start that the author doesn’t care much for making you FEEL BETTER, his goal is make you BE BETTER. Other programs will let you get away with using your anxiety as an excuse as they make it okay for you to be anxious. Accepting your own anxiety is the same thing as saying to yourself that you don’t have to improve yourself. Successful people who acheive their goals will use each accomplishment as the foundation on which to improve themselves even further. Anxiety is not okay if it stops you from taking the necessary steps to improve yourself.
There is no holding the author back when he decides you have spent long enough stuck in your comfort zone. Rich Presta will show you that action is the best reaction to anxiety. He will show you how to identify the real causes for your anxiety. Contrary to what you may have heard elsewhere The Anxiety Lie will show you how your anxiety is all your own fault. Even if the root cause of your anxiety is the result of childhood traua inflicted by other people you still choose how you react to that anxiety. Once you hear this for the first time it might make you angry to begin with, but when it sinks in you will realise that this is actually not so bad. What he is trying to tell you by making you responsible for your own anxiety is that you have the power to change it.
The Anxiety Lie is a 95 page eBook but it also comes with an audio version that you can listen to. The most valuable part of the program however is the “Rescue Audio Session”. This is an MP3 recording of Rich Presta talking you through the techniques that you can take anywhere and listen to when anxious. Compared to the other programs available The Anxiety Lie doesn’t really offer anything different. Whatever the anxiety program the advice and techniques are usually pretty much the same. But this one stands out due to the way that it has been written. Its bluntness is its main selling point as it wastes no time ramming home its message and goes straight to the point of telling you what you need to do.
The Anxiety Lie is a great product but I recommend you read what Rich Presta has to say on his website as he makes it perfectly clear that this product is not for everyone.
