You have no doubt heard the expression, “music tames the savage beast,” and that holds true of what can be described as savage anxiety as well. You probably have a selection of music that you know has a soothing effect on you, so put on your head phones and listen to some of it. Trick #4 – Prayer
Praying is something that, in any religion, has helped to reduce anxiety and stress. Giving your problems over to God or Buddha, or whatever deity you worship is an easy way to release yourself from the burden they bear on you, thereby immediately decreasing your level of stress, which can stop anxiety attacks before they start.
