A Sunday School Teacher Gets Arrested for a DWI, Gets Motivated and Inspired To Obtain Rehabilitation for Her Hazardous Drinking and Her Depression and Mental Health Issues, and Increases Her Positive Attitude About Herself

For the past twenty-four years Jenny has been a professional nurse at a large public hospital. In addition she has also been teaching Sunday school at the local Episcopalian Church. Although she lived in a medium size rural town where it seemed like every person knew everyone’s business, little if nothing was known about Jenny. To be sure almost everyone knew that she had worked several years as a nurse and that she taught Sunday school for as long as she was a resident of their small town. Besides that, nevertheless, it almost appeared as if Jenny didn’t exist.
You can visualize the commotion that took place when it was revealed that one Sunday morning Jenny had passed out due to too much alcohol. If truth be told, the article in the community daily newspaper mentioned that Jenny not only became unconscious, but that she also was arrested for drunk driving due to the fact that her blood alcohol level was substantially higher than the legal limit for drunk driving. This is obviously one of the alcohol effects on the body that no Sunday school teacher wants to have broadcasted to the entire community. But this is precisely what took place, much to the embarrassment of Jenny.
Jenny Gets Very Embarrassed About Her Arrest For Driving While Intoxicated
Obviously, Jenny was quite disappointed about her arrest for driving while intoxicated. Not only should she have known better about driving while inebriated because of her nursing position, but she also should have held herself accountable to a higher yardstick because of the straightforward fact that she taught Sunday school.
After her arrest, Jenny was tempted to move out of town so that she would not have to feel embarrassed about her arrest and also so she wouldn’t have to justify her actions for the one millionth time to other town residents. After talking to her reverend, then again, she made up her mind that she would get alcohol counseling at a local drug and alcohol rehab center. She did this for two precise reasons. First, it was convenient for her to drive to a local treatment facility. And second, she honesty wanted the word to get spread among all the people in town that she was genuinely addressing her unhealthy and abusive drinking.
Jenny Goes Through Alcohol Detox and Gets a Complete Exam
After Jenny went through alcohol detox, she was thoroughly examined by a healthcare practitioner at the drug and alcohol rehab hospital. She then underwent a variety of lab tests where it was validated that she was not dependent on alcohol but rather was engaging in abusive drinking. In a word Jenny was engaging in long term alcohol abuse.
Jenny was provided with the alternative of getting registered as a residential patient or getting alcohol treatment as an outpatient. Jenny, however, believed that she could still work as a registered nurse and keep her Sunday school teaching position if she were to be registered as an out-patient and this is exactly what she did.
According to her treatment action plan, Jenny went to four rehab sessions every four weeks, she learned more than a little about alcohol info, she worked on her out-of-class “assignments,” she got counseling for her depression and other mental health issues, and she found out how to involve herself doing things in life that did not involve drinking.
After seventeen weeks, Jenny thought that her careless and abusive drinking was under control and so she got released from the alcohol rehabilitation hospital under the condition that she would return for follow up treatment once every three months for the next ten months. Jenny agreed and followed through on her “word.”
Jenny Decides to Stay Away From Any and All Drinking Situations and Finds Out That Her Positive Attitude About Herself Becomes More Enhanced
After she completed her treatment Jenny concluded that she would be able to drink in moderation. After pondering her situation more carefully, then again, she arrived at a decision that she would absolutely refrain from all drinking circumstances.
When Jenny arrived at this conclusion, she discovered that her sense of worth became stronger the more she was in command of her life. And as her self-respect became more established, it appeared that she became more extroverted and started attending more community events such as strawberry festivals, Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, music festivals, flower festivals, carnivals, local high school football and basketball games, and rib roasts.
Jenny Faces Her Excessive Drinking, Comes to a Decision To Do Something Productive About It, and Rediscovers Her Faith
As the months passed, the individuals in the town exhibited more care for Jenny because she was interacting with them more regularly and also because she addressed her excessive and careless drinking and made up her mind to do something positive about it. It may have been her imagination, but it also seemed as if her Sunday school pupils manifested more respect and affection for her.
Jenny is a living example of someone who had a hazardous issue and who did something beneficial about it. She is also a person who learned that her religious faith is not only something that is intrinsic, but that it is also something that affects the way in which an individual interacts with other people.

Nice article, why people drive while they are not in their senses. They shall never given their licence again
