Why do people think mind control is bad?

February 7th, 2010    Subscribe To Our Feed

Here’s a question for you:
Why do people suppose mind management is “unhealthy”?

Folks shudder at the thought of mind management because they live under the belief that there’s a “free will”. They are scared to assume that they do not have control. Nevertheless the truth is we never have complete control.

Being the beasties that we are we tend to’ve lived, died and evolved based on what gives us the foremost control. Control is very important, very important to our survival, self worth and self esteem. However, in several cases management is an illusion.

There are levels to how a lot of control we have a tendency to do have and the things among our control. And whereas we have a tendency to do not have control in many areas we have a tendency to can usually deny that reality with a passion.

Having the ability to Management our own thoughts and emotions is one amongst the foremost difficult things anyone can do. However those people who understand how individuals respond and react use that knowledge to control and manipulate us all the time. That is why advertising {is such a} big industry.

Whereas mind control could be an unpleasant fact it is not “unhealthy” as a result of as people at large wanting management we have a tendency to will resort to anything that offers themselves an advantage.

One factor in our evolution is set by how much a lot of in management we tend to become. Maybe the following level of evolution is to know that we tend to can be controlled and are forever below some delicate influence while not our knowing.

How would we begin to evolve if rather than fighting the fact that we have a tendency to are subject to mind management we accepted it? This is able to be the difference between working to perceive our limitations and denying them.

This is often a elementary distinction between me and the PCT (Paranoid Conspiracy Theorists). On behalf of me that we have a tendency to are subject to mind management creates awe, not fear.

To create a private evolution of sorts, the sole issue you can do is grasp that individuals are using mind management on us continuously and try to concentrate on it. We tend to ought to additionally be aware that the majority of the mind control is thus well executed it will seemingly pass right by us without even a warning.

On a private level we ought to conjointly use what we understand of mind control to your advantage. This implies making an endeavor to perceive human psychology and our own personal psychology. Solely then can we have a tendency to actually evolve beneath the omnipresent specter of mind control.

The biggest singing lies

February 5th, 2010    Subscribe To Our Feed

There are a lot of misconceptions and even blatant lies that are very likely holding you back from becoming a better singer. (Learn more by reading the full singing lie articles and explanations.)

Lie - Either you have talent, and thus CAN sing, or you don’t have talent, and can NOT sing.

Truth - Since almost everyone can speak, and the speaking mechanism is the same as the singing mechanism, almost everyone can sing - and should, if they desire to!

Lie - People start out singing all wrong, so they must be taught (or re-taught) EVERYTHING, in order to sing “properly”.

Truth - While you might be doing some things wrong, if you can speak then you must be doing a lot right. You use the same instrument to speak that you use to sing.

Lie - To develop a vocal range of 2 octaves takes literally years of vocal training and practice.

Truth - Our voices were designed to COMFORTABLY manage 3 octaves. This can be learned in as little as 2 hours and perfected over the course of a lifetime.

Lie - To sing with power, especially up high, you need to exert a great deal of physical effort.

Truth - Your power does NOT come from more force applied. It comes from utilizing frequencies and airflow in the most efficient way. Archimedes said, “give me a long enough lever and I can move the earth itself.” To get vocal power, one uses a figurative form of leverage.

Lie - You will need special instruction to learn how to breathe correctly for singing.

Truth - Breathing was one of the very first things you learned to do and you haven’t stopped breathing since. You already know how to breath!

Lie - If you can sing classical style, you can sing anything.

Truth - Many classical singers have enormous difficulty singing with a tone that sounds natural.

Lie - It takes great effort and the coordination of many varied muscles to sing correctly.

Truth - If you are having difficulties right now, chances are, you actually have TOO MANY muscles trying to help! Singing “as designed” is easier than doing it wrong, and gives you more satisfying results.

Lie - Singing is much like law or accounting or any other skill in that it can be educated into someone.

Truth - Music, especially something as personal as singing, is more than a degree to earn. It is connected deeply to the soul and has the ability to move people on a deeper level than most other “mundane” things on earth.

You might now be wondering just what is the best way to learn to sing on a budget. Well, there are a number of high quality online singing lessons. As far as I’m concerned, the critically acclaimed Singing Success program is as good as it gets.

Guide for Selecting a LASIK Surgeon

February 4th, 2010    Subscribe To Our Feed

If you choose to get LASIK surgery done on your eyes, you’ll first want to find a qualified doctor.   Things that should be considered as you make your selection include the surgeon’s qualifications, personality, experience, reputation and the equipment and technology he uses. Most important, of course, are the surgeon’s experience and qualifications.   Keep in mind, after all, that the work of this doctor will impact your vision for the remainder of your life.

With just a few exceptions, you’ll find most eye surgeons to be capable professionals. However, as with any other practice, there are a few bad apples mixed into the bunch.  Therefore, remember to research all surgeons before you hire one for your LASIK surgery.

The first thing you should investigate is the reputation of the doctor. When a LASIK surgeon has membership in several reputable professional organizations, this indicates a certain amount of commitment to his profession.   Make sure, though, that the professional organization is relevant.   Membership in an association that has nothing to do with treating the eyes are not important.

After you’ve done this, try to find out what those who have had LASIK done by this doctor in the past have to say about him.   While their view should not be the final word, it at least gives you some added insight on how well others think he has done at his job.

Also, research the number of LASIK patients this surgeon has had, and when he first started. Every doctor has his “first patient” (scary as that might be)…but that doesn’t mean you have to be that first patient.

Once you’ve finished researching the surgeon’s reputation, it’s time to investigate the medical center where the doctor practices.   What kind of equipment does he use?   This research is only helpful, though, if you also research the LASIK equipment available.   Usually this will mean requesting that the latest technology be used. Try the internet or a medical journal with looking for information on lasik surgery risks or lasik surgery.

And finally, as you decide which surgeon to hire, don’t ignore your own intuition.   Make sure you schedule a face to face meeting with the surgeon. If, during the course of your appointment, something about the doctor nags at you as untrustworthy, then by all means, decline the surgery and look elsewhere. You’d be astonished to know how many times a person’s intuition winds up being right on the mark. And even if it turns out that your intuition was a bit wrong, it’s never a bad idea to do what you need to do to comfort yourself before an operation.  Even if it means taking an extra few weeks to find a doctor that you can establish a good relationship with.

Stuttering And Stammering Advice

February 4th, 2010    Subscribe To Our Feed

Which therapies for stuttering are the most popular and beneficial? Are you able to overcome a stutter and achieve fluency? How long does it take to eradicate a stutter? Are there any courses for stuttering? Where can I find out about the “stop stuttering techniques”? I will be answering these questions in this article.

My name is Stephen Hill and I am a speech coach from the UK. I am a person who had a stutter for eighteen years before finally managing to achieve fluency at the age of 22. I am now thirty-five and for the last thirteen years I have been helping other people to achieve fluency at the How To Stop Stuttering Centre.

The main form of stuttering/stammering treatment that I offer comes in the form of a specialised speech course for stuttering. The courses are on a one-to-one basis which in my opinion is essential. The courses are run in South Birmingham, in England.

The most popular form of therapy that I offer; however; happens to be the seventy minute stuttering cure DVD. The film includes full descriptions of each of the techniques that I teach on the courses.

People are also able to buy an audio book and a stuttering therapy e-book.

Over the last few months I have introduced a couple of new stuttering cure therapy options; the first is fluency coaching over the telephone and the second is stuttering therapy via Skype. These are also starting to become very popular.

The majority of the people who contact me; whether it be via e-mail, telephone or letter are from the United Kingdom however I do receive a lot of interest from the United States, India, Australia, Ireland, Pakistan, Norway and New Zealand. I have a blog at blog.stammering-stuttering.co.uk which has a map that shows people where the visitors to the site are located. This is something that is quite interesting to keep a track of from time to time.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
